Real Talk: Are Hockey Players Naturally Good Golfers?

I feel like there has been a long going idea that hockey players can naturally hold their own on the golf course. Are we that awesome or is it all just bullshit?

  1. for me personally – NO WAY! A good slap shot gets a load of stick flex. Ever tried applying this principle to golf? You bury your expensive driver deep into the tee off area.
When you miss a sweet shot in a hockey game, you can channel your anger and frustration and power up into another breakaway.. try that in golf and you’ll probably get forcibly removed from the course. I know this from experience..

  2. Good point. But what about the hand-eye skills. I think it helps me a lot. I love golf now because I found it easy to pick up, but I’m no TIger Woods

  3. Real reason hockey players (and relief pitchers) are good at golf is because they have summers off and play a lot. That’s it…

  4. Killer drive. Short game, not so much.

What do you think?
